Fundaţia Arte Vizuale

Fundaţia ARTE VIZUALE is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental foundation established in 1992.
Its aim was to create an alternative to the state-owned film / video system.

It is also meant to offer support for young filmmakers and artists to produce their personal projects, particularly in the field of documentary and experimental video.

FAV has produced more than 80 projects, including fictions, documentaries, experimental films, promotional videos for artists, dance and music videos and CD-ROM development.

The Center for Audiovisual Memory is another project developed in 1999-2001 which resulted in the creation of a audiovisual digital archive of traditional romanian crafts.

Fundaţia ARTE VIZUALE took part, as producer or co-producer, in making documentary and feature fims partly funded by the National Film Office.

Funding

In order to collect funds for its independent projects, the Foundation supports itself by supplying services and technical facilities (for shooting and postproduction) to other producers.
